One of the most coveted items of the summer.
Cumare mochila bags are handmade in Colombia in the region of Caquetá. This raw material is extracted from the cumare palm, one of the 14 species of palm trees in Colombia. These are truly durable, and very special pieces to own made from 100% cumare fiber.
The hands behind this mochila belong to the Koreguaje indigenous people in Milán, Caquetá, and they specialize in agriculture and weaving. These weaving techniques have been around for centuries and are part of their daily activities for cultural preservation. Learn more about Koreguaje in our blog.
